One of the best places to let the kids (and dogs) run around is at West Wetlands Park, located just around the corner from the Hotel at 282 N. 12th Avenue. Part of the Yuma Crossing National Heritage Area, this 110-acre park lies along wth lower Colorado River area and features a boat launch with trailer parking, a sandy beach area, ramadas for picnics, two gardens, shaded walking paths and multi-use trails. The park also has a dog park, fishing pond, 9-hole disc golf course, and two playgrounds, with one being the Stewart Vincent Wolfe Creative Playground. Also known as Castle Park, this unique ADA playground has been recognized as one of the largest creative playgrounds, as well as one of the top 20 playgrounds in the country, for being “impressive, accessible and inclusive.”
If your family is planning on a day of fishing at either West Wetlands Park or along the Colorado River at the East Wetlands or Gateway Park, we have fishing poles for you to use. Just ask at the front desk.
See you soon!
We are both pet and child friendly!
